Rodd joined the firm in 1999 and practices in the areas of business and commercial litigation, construction law, bankruptcy, business entity formation, and utility-related matters. He has a depth of experience representing local and national businesses in tort litigation, lender liability, real estate transactions, construction and contract disputes in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings. In addition to litigation, Rodd assists clients with negotiating and drafting construction project documents and provides counsel and advice regarding the management of construction disputes prior to the commencement of litigation.
Rodd is a graduate of the University of Akron School of Law (J.D., 1994) and received his undergraduate degree from Muskingum College (B.S., Chemistry, 1990). He received additional litigation training at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
Rodd is a member of the Ohio State and the Akron Bar Associations and served on several bar association committees including the Attorney Grievance Committee, the Real Estate Committee; the Common Pleas Court Committee and and the Judicial Candidate Review Panel. He practices before Courts in the State of Ohio; the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio; the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio; and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
